About Sigiriya
Sigiriya is one of Sri Lanka’s most important cultural destinations and a central stop within the Cultural Triangle. The ancient complex combines a royal citadel, landscaped water gardens, defensive structures, frescoes and panoramic views from the summit.
The destination works particularly well as a two or three-night base because travellers can combine Sigiriya Rock Fortress with Pidurangala, Dambulla, wildlife safaris and the ancient cities of Polonnaruwa or Anuradhapura.
A private chauffeur-guided route allows the main climb to be scheduled early in the morning while nearby cultural and wildlife experiences can be arranged around the temperature, weather and the traveller’s preferred pace.
