Begin among the ancient landscapes of Sigiriya and Dambulla before travelling through Kandy and the central highlands. Continue through Nuwara Eliya and Ella, then complete the journey with a wildlife experience in Yala. Meet your Dream Ceylon Journeys chauffeur-guide at Bandaranaike International Airport and travel towards Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle. Continue to Sigiriya or Dambulla and enjoy a relaxed evening after checking into your accommodation.
Begin early with a visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Explore the ancient gardens, defensive structures, frescoes and summit ruins. Later, visit Dambulla Cave Temple or enjoy a carefully selected village experience.
Travel south through Matale towards Kandy. Route stops may include a spice garden or selected cultural attraction. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and enjoy an optional evening cultural performance.
Continue through Sri Lanka’s central highlands towards Nuwara Eliya. Visit a tea estate and factory to learn about Ceylon tea, and stop at suitable waterfalls and viewpoints along the route.
Travel towards Ella by road or use a selected scenic railway segment from Nanu Oya, subject to current train operations and reserved-seat availability. Visit Nine Arch Bridge or another suitable Ella attraction after arrival.
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Ella before descending from the highlands towards Sri Lanka’s southern dry zone. Stop at Ravana Falls and continue to the Yala or Tissamaharama region.
Join an early wildlife safari in Yala National Park with a registered safari provider. After the safari, continue towards the south coast, Colombo or the airport according to your onward travel arrangements.
